Optimize and correlate analyses with real world test results. Communicate effectively within the group about issues, and outside the group to accomplish goals. Position Summary: This role is responsible for readying all assigned Harness assemblies for release to support mass production    Essential Duties (This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned): - Develop 3D routing paths for electrical harnesses in vehicle environment, and define attachment mechanisms and attachment points using Catia V6 - Write technical specifications related to harnesses including wiring sizing selection with voltage drop calculations - Translate system schematics into wiring diagrams and harnesses - Regularly meet with supplier to track product status - Work with packaging team to package and route the harnesses in the vehicle - Provide technical support to manufacturing partner for various build phases and work to manufacturing schedule - Work with prototype and production suppliers. Support end of line test development and re-works during each manufacturing phase - Identify all device connections for each harness family and design routes considering electrical, mechanical, environmental variables - Work with purchasing department on creating RFQ - Review DFMEA/PFMEA with supplier and provide input - Support SQA in supplier APQP and PPAP process - Analyze and resolve problems with moderate level of guidance and direction.   - Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers. - Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.  - Travel to client sites required.
