This role will support CAE development activities.
Essential Duties (This list is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned):
• Utilize Hypermesh and Ansa for preprocessing tasks and meshing.
• Responsible for dynamic and/or static, linear and/or nonlinear analysis utilizing CAE tool (Abaqus, LS Dyna, Nastran, Optistruct, StarCCM+, etc.)
• Interpret data, develop and report countermeasures using Hyperworks for post processing.
• Must be able to optimize and correlate analyses with real world test results.
• Communicates effectively within the group about milestones and issues, and outside the group to accomplish goals.
• Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
• Utilizes Excel to create and update project schedules.
• Travel to client site required.
• BS Degree in ME or Aero
• 5-10 years industry experience in Vehicle dynamics and NVH, including suspension kinematics and compliance, tire characteristics, ride and handling performance.
• 5+ Years’ experience with simulation analyzing body and/or chassis structures using finite element analysis.
• Experience with CAE tools such as Hyperworks, ANSA, NATRAN and Optistruct. Should also be very good with Matlab and Excel.
• Capable of developing custom CAE methods for improved modeling and analysis.
• Advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
