    Responsibilities

    Lead inbound order management activities including: tracking, issue resolution, policy compliance, documentation confirmation and receipt classification. Manage daily supplier activities including: coordination, communication and direction. Assists group leadership with supplier performance and policy adherence. Supports group leadership by serving as a back up for international and domestic import and export operations.

     

    • Manages inbound activities including: order confirmation and tracking, documentation requirements and classifying all receipts to the proper HTS code.
    • HTS Database management including daily entries and any updates to the system.
    • Provides issue resolution support to both internal and external partners.
    • Assists import and export activities in compliance with all governmental regulations supporting efficient and effective business operations to avoid legal issues and unnecessary delays.
    • Supplier management activities including: daily order requirements, responding to questions or concerns, providing the necessary data for customs filings, and periodically auditing suppliers to ensure compliance with procedures, costs and accuracy of records.
    • Serves as a point of contact for coordinating C-TPAT validations, security measures and threat awareness training.

    Qualifications

    • BS degree in Supply Chain Management or related degree and a minimum of 3 years customs brokerage experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Familiarity with United States Harmonized Tariff Code (HTS) and Customs regulations
    • Strong understanding of the import and export shipping environment.
    • Ability to stay current with the US Regulatory environment and support policy improvement initiatives.
    • Creative, good organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
    • Ability to work in a multinational team environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and multi-tasking skill.

    Preferred:

    • Licensed customs broker.
    • Experience with SAP.
