Responsibilities

 

 

Position Summary:

 

This role will support design and development activities in an automotive industry.

 

 

Essential Duties:

     

  • Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale automotive development programs by investigating feasibility, performing design using CATIA v5, conduct layout review, drawing creating, and negotiation with surrounding component business unites. 
  • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs.   

          Travel to client sites required. 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:          

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6+ months relevant internship experiences.
  • Experience using CAD tools 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office

Preferred Skills:

  • Minimum 3+ years' experience designing automotive plastic parts.
  • Good understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) of plastic parts preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience designing with CATIA V5.
  • Minimum 2+ years' working on design of automotive BIW components.  
  • Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.

 

Physical Demands:   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The job might require long periods of standing while guiding
