Responsibilities

     

In this role you will assess market needs, design, develop and take to market sustainable technology platforms, solutions, and services that cross multiple industry needs and enhance the company’s competitiveness.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Use trends and data to accurately anticipate market tendencies within technology spaces globally. Look for and develop the next ‘thing’ or use the next ‘thing’ in a way nobody currently is.
  • Understand and align company product development with current market trends to ensure global competitiveness and optimization when applicable.
  • Develop strategy which aligns technology and development across multiple industries (medical, aerospace, consumer product, automotive, retail manufacturing, etc.)
  • Collaborate, develop and implement detailed actionable plans which communicate strategy across verticals but also includes verticals needs and wants.
  • Conduct market analysis for trends in competition and business alignment.
  • Partner with Business Development to identify market saturation, market acceptance and client space. Function as a SME to support sales and collect market data.
  • Ensure we are ahead of the curve with regard to Technology and trends in multiple industries and how they are being and can be applied.
  • Effectively lead and manage a team of technical professionals by modeling, and holding others accountable to, the company Vision, Mission, Values, Leadership Expectations and Rules of Engagement.
  • Create strategy, manage, lead and implement the company’s internal IT program.
  • Serve as the liaison between customer, operations, and development associates and teams in the areas of application design (Initial stage of product development), modifications, and/or trouble shooting.
  • Develop policies and best practices for application development and/or project based work.
  • Direct and oversee development\operations to make sure it adheres to organization strategy as well as customer strategy.
  • Stay abreast of current technologies. Keeping up-to-date on leading edge technology, standards, protocols and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment.
  • Travel to and from client sites is required.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as; Engineering, IS or Computer Science, etc. required.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in IS services and solutions design, development and strategy required.
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience leading professional level associates required.
  • PMP or Agile\SCRUM certification preferred.
  • Ability to exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit while functioning in a highly collaborative team setting is a must.
  • Ability and demonstrable experience leading and innovating in the IS and client services space is a must.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, knowledge of computer systems, development plans, and implementation of changes or new processes required.
  • Ability to select talent, develop, coach, mentor and establish accountabilities with associates is a must.
  • Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive and/or PLM experience required.
