Responsibilities

This role at the Goken Dublin office has two major responsibilities

 

  • Lead Projects at Goken Dublin office
  • Train new associates for their target roles.

 

Duties:

  • Coordinate with the product design group at Clients to identify projects and define scope of work.
  • Act as a liaison between Goken teams and Client to identify project requirements, understand technical specifications and meet client expectations.
  • Monitor and track the progress of projects and handle any issues that arise. Report the progress and escalate any issues to management as needed.
  • Responsible for meeting the project deadlines.
  • Work with management on project proposals, scheduling and quoting.
  • Develop product designs, vehicle layouts and drawings using CATIA V5.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior level design engineers as required.
  • Develop and deliver training for new associates.
  • Work with the training manager to design new training materials and evolve existing training materials so that they adequately meet the current needs of the company.
  • Work with the training manager to upgrade current training processes.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards and following a course life cycle to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Attend educational workshops; review publications and meeting with appropriate staff to develop technical skills.
  • Maintain safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations
  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Automotive Engineering and 8+ years relevant experience in the automotive field or in a similarly related area.
  • Minimum 6 years practical design experience with CATIA V5. Also, practical experience with UGNX is a plus.
  • Knowledge of various automotive & product engineering concepts, practices, and procedures. Desire experience working in multiple areas of the vehicle: Ex - Body, Interior, Chassis etc.
  • Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
  • Minimum 2 years of project lead experience managing projects, leading and directing others is preferred.
  • Experience working on design of jigs and fixtures is a plus.
  • Exposure to CAE tools preferred.
  • Two years quantifiable experience delivering technical presentations
  • Two years quantifiable experience mentoring, coaching and training junior engineers successfully. 
  • Excellent written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time efficiently
